A specific new layout of directional couplers has been designed to make it possible to interface the coupler directly to the antenna and to two Radio equipment that are connected to the through port and to the coupled port of the coupler respectively. In this way the so called �balanced and unbalanced hot-stand-by� configurations, depending on the coupling level, can be achieved to improve the reliability of the link. In addition, the couplers are arranged in a way to operate as supporting frame of the Radios and can be customized to mate the type of the custom defined Radio output flange. The couplers cover the frequency bands from 5 up to 38GHz .
